COMPUTEX TAIPEI, the largest computer exhibition in Asia will open its door from today until 8th June 2013. At the on-going event, Acer has announced Acer Iconia W3, the first 8” Windows 8 tablet and also the Liquid S1: a 5.7-inch smartphone with a near-stock Android experience.
The new tablet boasts an 8.1-inch LED-backlit display with 1280 x 800 resolution. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z2760 mobile-optimized processor to smoothly handle a range of apps, including web browsing and enjoying digital media. It provides up to 8 hours of battery life and the front- and rear-facing 2MP webcams ensure that customers can capture images and video for social networking, video conferencing and sharing. . The new tablet is available with either 32GB(3) or 64GB(3) of internal storage, and customers can add an additional 32GB(3) via microSD for extra storage and convenient transfer of photos and video between devices.

The Liquid S1 arrives with a 720p 5.7-inch display, available in either a single- or dual-SIM flavor, is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It features 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card, has a wide front shot camera with 88degrees wide viewing angle, 24mm lens camera, and Studio Sound speakers. The devices weighs 195g. Software wise, the Liquid S1 features Acer Float User Interface that allows for multitasking, Acer Auto Profile that supports predefined network settings for frequently visited locations, Mobile studio, Live sharing and more.
