Asus announced the revolutionary products, including MeMO Pad HD 7, MeMO Pad FHD 10 tablets at its “We Transform” Computex 2013 press event.

ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 has a 7-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution. It is powered by a quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, featuring the IPS technology for accurate, vibrant colors with 170-degree wide viewing angles and high-quality stereo speakers with enhanced sound, courtesy of ASUS SonicMaster audio technology.

The device has a 1.2-megapixel front-facing HD camera and a rear 5-megapixel camera. Just 10.8mm thick and 302g, the feature-packed MeMO Pad HD 7 has a lithium polymer battery that lasts for up to 10 hours with 720p video playback. Models are available in four colors — black, white, pink and green.

MeMO Pad™ HD 7 has 16GB of storage and a MicroSD card slot, plus 16GB ASUS WebStorage free for one year. Together with the ASUS WebStorage Office, users can view, create, edit and share Microsoft Office documents online.

吉膽島中文路牌

（雪蘭莪‧巴生31日訊）為了讓吉膽島的設施建設更趨完善，該島多條道路豎立了中文路牌。

該島村長謝瓊利指出，中文路牌早在今年初就已在該島設立，並獲得不少當地島民和遊客的讚賞。“島民平時只會口傳中文路名，沒想到路名會譯成馬來文，同時又製作成雙語路牌。”他說，吉膽島自發展以來不曾設立過正式的路牌，為了讓該島的道路規劃更完善，他於去年杪向雪州公共工程局申請15個路牌。他披露，該局不僅答應批准10個路牌，同時也允許在路牌上增添中文路名。

98%島民都是華裔

謝瓊利向《大都會》指出，該島98%的島民都是華裔，而到該島的遊客大多數也都是華裔，增添中文路牌不僅讓遊客能輕易找到路線，同時也讓大家瞭解每條中文路名的來由。他說，吉膽島是富有人情味的傳統漁村，不少潮州籍和福建籍華裔後代分佈在島上，形成自成一格的文化習俗。

“而這些文化習俗也反映在中文路牌上，所以我相信隨著中文路牌設立後，能給遊客不一樣的啟發和觀感。”

他補充，為了進一步塑造更良好的旅遊環境，他也向市議會申請“資訊告示牌”並設立在碼頭廣場，好讓遊客甫抵該島就能充份瞭解該島的資訊。

Samsung Note III to Make IFA Debut in September

Samsung officials have confirmed that the GALAXY Note III will be unveiled at IFA 2013 in Germany.

According to The Korean Times, Samsung officials said that the upcoming device will sport a 5.9-inch display which is an increase of 0.4-inch from the current GALAXY Note II. Along with this great news comes a slight disappointment as Samsung’s chief executive confirmed the device won’t feature a flexible screen. Apparently, Samsung needs more time to develop the flexible displays. Rumors say the third-generation tablet will be built in the same design language as the Samsung’s latest flagship, Galaxy S4 – glazed polycarbonate plastic with a dotted back pattern.

The Galaxy S4 which was launched on April 27th would soon hit the 10 million sold devices threshold. At an industry forum, the Samsung Electronics CEO Shin Jong-kyun also said that they are confident that they will pass more than 10 million sales of the S4 next week. It is selling much faster than the previous model S3.
